Course Program:

Oil painting is a traditional royal technique with unique properties, and if you want to paint pictures that have weight, depth, and character, oil is one of the best tools.
Throughout the weekend, Eliška will guide you through the technique of oil painting from the very basics. We will get acquainted with the technical aspects of oil painting and materials, discuss media you can use for painting, pigments, turpentine, and paints. How to prepare the surface for painting and much more. Eliška will show you painting techniques at the course that will help you make your work more effective and achieve the desired results in painting more easily. We will show you how to layer colors and add depth to paintings, and also discuss the basics of portrait anatomy.
The course is designed for beginners or intermediate learners. If you have no experience with oil painting, there's no need to worry, Eliška will be available to assist you throughout the course and provide individual help with anything you need.
About the instructor:
Eliška Kulíková is a painter, illustrator, and visual artist from Northern Bohemia. Her alma mater is SSUPŠ na Zámečku in Pilsen. In her paintings, she enjoys exploring fantastic motifs, and her style could be described as pop-surrealism. Her paintings evoke magical realism with a fairytale touch, where reality serves merely as a springboard, not an end goal. The main motifs in her paintings are nature, fairy tales, and the products of her own imagination.
More of Eliška's work can be found on her Instagram, or YouTube.
What previous participants said:
“Thank you so much! It was truly an unforgettable experience for me. I couldn't stop talking in the car all the way home, telling my husband about everything that happened today! Eliška has a great energy and possesses a wealth of knowledge about what she does.”
“During the workshop, Eliška essentially taught me the basics of colors, which I wasn't even aware of, despite having a creative field education. Understanding color mixing and pigments helped me the most, and I must say it has also made my work with acrylics easier. Thanks to Eliška, I no longer fear using, combining, and mixing colors, nor do I shy away from using black.”
Oil painting courses are suitable for beginners and advanced learners. They do not include the necessary materials. Below you will find the required materials list. During the course, materials will be available for rent from the instructor, so if you need anything, don't worry, we'll sort it out on the spot.
