The basic characteristic of the colours is their high density (the name "Heavy body" = "high density"), which is achieved simply by using a really large amount of pigment. The pigments are carefully selected and imported from different parts of Europe, Asia and America. The pigment is then ground into fine particles using modern "bead-mill" technology, where the pigment and base are mixed in a closed container with small ceramic beads - thanks to rapid movement and friction, the maximum possible mixing occurs. In addition, each shade has a subtly different composition and production process to ensure ideal conditions for each pigment.
