Base for the production of acrylic paints 200ml - 50840

Base for easy production of your own acrylic paints. It is designed for pasty acrylic paints and already contains everything important except the pigment itself (hence the name "ready to use").

Use: Shake before use. Spread a teaspoon of pigment on a glass plate or flat glass tile and stir in the appropriate amount of base. The base/binder ratio depends very much on the type of pigment (each has slightly different properties, weight,...). If you have no experience with the pigment, start with about 2 parts base to 1 part pigment. Mix together thoroughly, for example palette knives or with a spoon. Depending on this mixture, add either pigment or base until the paint is the right consistency for use. Ideal proportions have been achieved if the dried paint strokes have a smooth surface and do not curl.

You can either use the paint straight away or store it in a closed container - preferably glass or metal. The paint and the base itself can be diluted with water, which is also used to wash the tools. The resulting paint is water-resistant after drying, has a very long lifetime and does not yellow. Of course, you can also use several pigments at once to achieve the original shade, in which case we recommend mixing even more thoroughly than when using only one pigment.
