The company was founded by a group of artists at the Academy of Arts in The Hague. Hence the name "Old Holland" - the colours of the old masters. Watercolour paints were added to the range in 1987. You can rely on them for the highest lightfastness and maximum pigmentation of each shade. Even a very small amount is enough for an intense colour.
