Kerotix in a 400ml canKerotix is a wax varnish in paste for oil painting and tempera, which preserves the painting and forms a matte and soft layer. It is rubbed on with a tampon, or on the palm of the hand. The painting is then exposed to the sun or moderate heat for some time to allow the Kerotix to soak into the pores of the painting. Its preservative effect protects the painting from harmful fumes and gases. It can also be used as a so-called." painting butter" without darkening. It is also an indispensable tool for painters and restorers, who use it when applying new canvas as a perfect protection for the back of the painting.
