Float frame natural 60x80cmA modern frame for stretched painting canvases, also known as a "float frame" or "lost frame". Unlike a regular frame, the canvas is inserted inside and its edges are visible. It is deliberately a little bigger, there should be a small gap of about half a centimeter between the canvas and the frame. It is suitable for canvases of normal height 15-20mm, not recommended for framing tall and 3D canvases.
The stated format is always for canvas, the frame itself is a bit larger. For example, a frame with a stated size of 30x40cm has a real internal size of 31x41cm and an external size of 33x43cm. The canvas can be fastened with nails, screws or staples. The frame does not have a hook because of the possibility of using it in height and width - you can buy it separately here.
