Pastelmat is a special paper developed by the French manufacturer Clairefontaine for pastel lovers. Its unique velvety cellulose fibre surface can hold many layers of even the finest pastels. Significantly reduces the need for fixative, which means the colours remain vibrant and fresh. In addition, it is gentle on fingers and mixing tools. This special paper is ideal for use with all dry media (soft pastels, PanPastel, pencils, charcoal), but thanks to its water resistance, it can also be used with wet media such as acrylic and watercolor paints.
